Governor Ron DeSantis reappointed three members to the UCF Board of Trustees.
The UCF Board of Trustees is responsible for the administration of UCF in a manner that is dedicated to and consistent with the university’s mission and with the mission and purposes of the State University System. This responsibility includes cost-effective policy decisions, the implementation and maintenance of high-quality education programs, and oversight of university performance, financial management and accountability, personnel, the reporting of information and compliance with laws, rules, regulations and requirements.
The Florida Republican Governor recently announced the reappointment of Jeff Condello, Alex Martins, and John Miklos to the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees.
Jeff Condello is the Chief Executive Officer and President at RANDALL. Active in his community, he is a member of the Project Opioid Board of Directors and The Faine House Board of Directors. Condello is the 2019 recipient of the Chief Executive of the Year Award from the Orlando Business Journal.
Alex Martins is the Vice Chair of The Orlando Magic, Ltd., and previously served as the Chief Executive Officer. Active in his community, he currently serves as the Chair of the Orlando Economic Partnership’s Governors Council and is a Managing Partner of the Osceola Magic, Orlando’s affiliate in the NBA G League. Martins earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Villanova University and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida.
John Miklos is the President and Senior Project Manager of Bio-Tech Consulting. He previously served as the Vice President and Senior Project Manager at Modica and Associates and President of Aquatic Management and Consulting. Active in his community, Miklos previously served on the St. Johns River Water Management District and the Environmental Regulation Commission. He earned his bachelor’s degree in limnology from the University of Central Florida.
The UCF Board of Trustees is comprised of thirteen members, six of whom are appointed by the Florida Governor and five who are appointed by the Florida Board of Governors and confirmed by the Florida Senate for a staggered term of five years. The chair of the university’s Faculty Senate and the president of the university’s Student Government Association are also members.
These UCF Board of Trustees appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
