The City of Key West introduced a new online portal for local elections to provide important information in one location for voters and constituents.
Earlier this month, all information related to local Key West elections was made available on a new elections page.
The new elections page provides access to announced candidates, polling locations, the campaign finance portal, and other important election resources – all in one convenient location.

Upcoming Key West elections include: Mayor of Key West, City Commissioner, District II, City Commissioner, District IV, and City Commissioner, District V. It doesn’t take much to run for local office in Key West, with the petition amount required for each seat on the City Commission only being: Mayor-137 petitions, City Commissioner District II – 15 petitions, City Commissioner District IV – 27 petitions, and City Commissioner District V – 24 petitions. All petitions are due May 11, 2026, at 12 noon for verification.
Elections for other offices within Monroe County will continue to be handled through the Supervisor of Elections website, as Supervisor of Elections Sherri Hoades implemented this change after taking office.
The city said it “is pleased to offer an easily accessible, centralized portal for all Key West election information.”
