U.S. Representative Darren Soto released a report on his efforts in Central Florida, knowing Republicans are targeting his congressional district.
The office of Congressman Darren Soto released their 2025 end-of-year report, highlighting efforts they say show how the Democrat is standing up for Central Florida, delivering for the community, and holding President Donald Trump’s administration accountable.
“From the moment the president was sworn in, we’ve seen the Trump Administration lead with corruption, chaos, and confusion. From mass deportations to tariffs, unlawful layoffs to ridiculous culture wars, their Big Ugly Law to the Epstein Files, Democrats have stood together at every turn and made united efforts to hold the Administration accountable in Congress and in the courts,” said Democratic Rep. Darren Soto. “In Central Florida, there is too much at stake to stand idly by. We are a vibrant community that deserves increased investments to help us continue moving forward, not division and exclusion. It is a privilege to be your representative as we navigate these challenging times, and my office is committed to continuing to serve as a resource every step of the way.”
In the report, the Central Florida Democrat talked about fighting for affordable healthcare and affordable housing, working to lower food costs, and delivering for the community by closing cases and helping constituents recover $1,719,356 from federal agencies.
Rep. Soto celebrated transportation projects like the I-4 expansion, Poinciana Parkway expansion to I-4, Turnpike expansion, SunRail/Brightline expansion, Lake Nona VA expansion, airport upgrades, UCF Nursing School, NeoCity Research Lab and downtown NeoCity project, over $600 million for clean water, Osceola County and Orange County affordable housing, Big Lake Toho restoration, and Orlando City Lions and Pride training center.
